In a combined JSO/NIO production, Ms. Tetuev completed the 2002-2003 season with another Benjamin Britten work, this time the War Requiem followed immediately by Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and finally concluded the season with her first Verdi Requiem. Since 2015, Fausto Nardi has held a position at the Academy of Music and Drama in Hamburg, having previously spent many years teaching at both the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music and the University of Arts in Berlin, and the Academy of Music and Drama, Frankfurt am Main. In this period she has also been engaged as stage director in her own right at, amongst others, the Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Opéra du Rhin Strasbourg and, for the Indiana University, at the Musical Arts Center Bloomington, U.S.A.. Salvatore Caputo has been Chorus Master of the Opéra National de Bordeaux since 2014, Artistic Director of the Bordeaux Eufonia festival since 2015 and Guest Chorus Master of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing since 2017. The very special performances of the best known and most popular pieces of operatic literature make up the central core of the festival’s program. In 2003-2004 Ms. Tetuev began the season with the opening concert of the Dvorak Requiem in a September 11th Tribute in Jerusalem with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Leon Botstein.
